TRANSITION webinar for UNESCO Day | Safeguarding minority cultural heritage in KRI & Yemen, October 17th, 2025

Join us online on Friday, 17 October 2025, 9:30–10:30 (CEST) for a concise webinar marking the UNESCO International Day of Intangible Cultural Heritage and taking place in the week of #ErasmusDays.

Organized within the EU-funded TRANSITION project, the session will present the results of the new report on existing higher-education curricula covering cultural heritage and minority issues in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and Yemen, and open a discussion on gaps, good practices, and next steps.

About UNESCO International Day of the Intangible Cultural Heritage

The 42nd session of the General Conference of UNESCO in November 2023 proclaimed 17 October as the International Day of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. To mark this second edition, States Parties, cultural institutions, communities, non-governmental organizations, category 2 centres, UNESCO Chairs, schools and all the other stakeholders of the 2003 Convention are encouraged to join the celebration by organising events and activities to showcase the diversity and richness of living heritage and to raise awareness of the importance of its safeguarding.

During these days, people throughout the world are invited to come together and either organise or participate at events that celebrate the projects and opportunities proposed by Erasmus+.
