In this episode, Ana Carvalho speaks with Dr. Ghiath Rammo, archaeologist at Sapienza University of Rome, whose research focuses on Yezidi religious traditions in the Middle East, with particular attention to oral traditions and shrine architecture.

Drawing on his personal and academic journey as a Kurdish Syrian archaeologist trained at the University of Aleppo, Rammo explains how his background inspired his PhD research on Yezidi communities in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. His contribution offers valuable insight into the links between heritage, identity, memory, and community life, showing how both tangible and intangible dimensions of heritage are deeply interconnected.
